Strength, watercolor and felt-tip pen on paper, 12″ x 16″, 2015
In 2015, I participated in an Art Fight in which contestants had two hours to paint live at a brewery in Downtown Albuquerque, NM. The subject was Breast Cancer Awareness. Judy, a friend of a friend had just had a mastectomy and was going through treatment. In my painting, I thought it was important to depict the physical reality of Breast Cancer while highlighting her strength to fight and live. She was an incredible subject and I appreciate her bravery.
Portions of all art sales went to the Susan G. Komen Fund.
This past December, I participated in a live art competition at Red Door Brewing Company in Albuquerque, NM. The theme was “Holidays.” It was a lot of fun! Three hours wasn’t quite enough to finish my painting, but I’ll show you what I finished in the allotted time. I’ll be going back into it at a later date. Thanks for looking. 🙂
Here are the links of a couple amazing artists’ websites I participated with.
I made this oil painting a few years ago but wasn’t feeling it. So, I went back into it with spray paint and felt tip marker. I like it so much better now! What are your thoughts and ideas? I appreciate your feedback and thanks for looking!
